I've been away for a week, but I've updated the site accordingly. I've
got three new pieces of art; 1. Intro,
2.Love, and 3+4. Light
and Dark for you all to enjoy, based on the 100 Themes Challenge. Next is 5. Seeking Solace. I was asked earlier this week to do more fan-art, which I hope to bring into the 100 Themes Challenge at some point so I can work on both things at the same time. But for 5. Seeking Solace I think I'm going to draw something with either Kami, Kaze or Alice in it. I think I'm going to opt for Alice, because she's the kind who would have problems and would want to tell a friend, but be too nervous to. Maybe she'd be sat somewhere with one of the brothers comforting her or something. I'm unsure as to what to do right now, but I'm sure I'll find an idea pretty soon. I also want to get some reference sheets done for Kami, Kaze and Alice. It saves explaining everything when you can just look at a reference sheet instead. I'll probably be able to complete those one day after school. I won't be doing anything elaborate because reference sheets are meant to be simple, and that shouldn't take long. If I have time I'd like to do some for Felix, Kami and Kaze's cousin, and Oni and Giri, some Kami and Kaze characters who haven't been introduced yet. I'm really excited about introducing Felix, because he's awesome! He's like the King of Cool in their point of view, though neither of them like to admit it, because if Felix found out that they were acknowledging that then I'm sure he'd brag about how awesome he is even more. |

I've decided to draw myself an ID as well at some point, but not too
soon as I do have a lot to do first. If I did have an ID I don't think
I'd shade it at all. Just plain colour. Is that lazy of me? I guess I
kind of want it in a comic book style, and they don't tend to use much
shading because if the artist shaded every panel, it would take a lot
longer! Another thing I wanted to mention - I don't seem to be sticking with any particular style right now, and it's annoying me. I'm constantly changing my style to make it look better, but really I'd like to stay with a style for a little while. I think it would be nice for people to say "Oh, I like her art style", or "Oh yeah, this person's done it like her". But I keep changing! I want to go for semi-realistic I think. I'll definitely be changing the eyes from how I did them in .:Sunset:. because they caused a lot of problems! They were too realistic, and realistic eyes are very hard to draw. So I'll be changing that back into more of a manga style. Aside from that, I don't think there's any problems for now. I may change the nose to a dot every now and then if I want the picture to have a cuter appearance, and just draw the eyebrows as just lines instead of drawing every hair. Also, I'd like to set up a poll. I want a way that my visitors can contact me without sending e-mails, leaving comments or anything like that. So you leave a message anonymously and don't get the chance to say anything inappropriate. I'd like you to be able to rate my art as well, which you'd get the chance to do via a poll. I'm interested in which of my works are your favourites, so I can perhaps figure out what it is that you like and create more like it. Updating the site might take longer for a little while, because I have lots of deadlines to meet right now, but when I come back I'm sure I'll have more artwork, as that's what most of the deadlines are. I'm entering a Valentine's Day Contest and want to make sure I'm ready beforehand. It's also going to be Love for the 100 Themes Challenge, because I figured it would be easier that way, since I've got to draw two "love" related things in a short space of time. It's hopefully going to have Kami in it! |

Well, this is the first journal I've written
on here. I think for a while I will be experimenting with what to put in
them, because I don't really know what my viewers want to hear about. It
should generally be a little bit about the art that I'm currently
working on, a bit about what I will be working on next, and a little bit
about my life, maybe. I like to tell people about my adventures. As you can see, the site is now up and running. Before it was kind of stuck with the starry background and the two 100x100 pictures, wasn't it? I decided to finally get my butt in gear and do something about it. That's why I'm not working on any art at the moment, but I can pretty much guarantee that I'll have a sketch to colour by the time I get home tonight. That's generally what happens! Next, I hope to be starting the 100 Themes Challenge, where you take 100 themes and draw a picture about them. I thought it would be a great way to stop myself from getting lazy with my art, which I did for a while a year or two ago. I would post all of the themes so I could so you exactly what I was doing, but as you can guess, it's a pretty big list, so I'll just tell you that I'll be working on Intro and Love very soon. Also, I would like to draw some fan art soon. I used to draw nothing but fan art, but now I seem to be doing my own thing. I'm going to try and get into a magazine with it, if possible. I'd love for that to happen! It would be amazing! And, even though I said that I'd say something about my life, my life's been rather boring, so I guess I won't say much. But. with the new week ahead, I guess I'll have lots to tell very soon! |
